Research Interests
I am broadly interested in understanding the adaptation and evolution of genomes, phenotypes, and species. My specific research interests lie at the interface of development, evolution, and ecology. I use comparative and experimental approaches to investigate the evolution of development (evo-devo) in growth chamber, greenhouse, and field studies. A strong foundation in plant developmental morphology and careful phenotyping at the anatomic through organismal levels anchor my work at the gene, genome, and transcriptome levels.
